Myoelectric Fragile Grasping Study

Subjects needed to support IRB-approved federally-funded research

SynTouch and Berke Prosthetics invite you to participate in a study to evaluate fragile grasping performance with an experimental prosthetic hand. Participation in this minimal-risk and IRB-approved study will consist of four 2-3 hour office visits to one of our testing sites, and three month-long take-home sessions with an experimental prosthetic hand between those visits. Your participation will help contribute to the development of next-generation prosthetic hands with intelligent grasping behaviors.

Qualifying Candidates Are:

18+ years of age
Unilateral transradial amputee
Have experience with and feel comfortable using a myoelectric prosthesis
6+ months post-amputation
Willing and able to travel to clinical sites in either San Mateo, CA or Denver, CO (future sites in Seattle, WA and Los Angeles, CA coming soon)

Volunteers will be compensated for their participation

Research sponsored by the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP) and funded by the US Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA).
